The Dark Side Of The Sun (vol. 3)

2020, An individual sensory experience for 24 people. Duration: 24 hours
Coauthors: Emilia Orzechowska (curator) and Anna Królikiewicz, Piotr Pawlak and Alicja Wódecka.

“Everything grew obedient to the inevitable law, pushing and degenerating in its drive to grow. Temperature, light, humidity - these hadn't changed, had been the same since ... but no one knew for how long. Nobody cared any longer the momentous questions that started with "How long ...?" or "Why ...?" There was no room for reason here anymore. There was a place for growth, for plants. Like in a greenhouse. "(Brian W. Aldiss, The Greenhouse)

This 24-hour experience organized in Gdańsk was an individual, multi-sensory encounter with plants. You could participate in one of the four phases of plant life:
* from 8.00 to 13.00 - Phase I - seed, germination and vegetative development
* from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Phase II - flower and fruit, reproduction
* from 20.00 to 01.00 - Phase III - rest, lethargy
* from 02.00 to 07.00 - Phase IV - aging, dying
