VR lab

2020-2021, objects and photography

The work consists of a series of objects that are attributes of a human being of the future, who needs a kind of technological mediation to experience the world. These objects relate to the VR technology equipment - goggles, controllers, cables, etc. They are made from plants I harvested on wastelands and suburbs in Warsaw and Białystok. The context of this work is the cargo cult, in which anthropologists discovered plant-based structures resembling airplanes, landing sites and runways on the islands of the Pacific Ocean. In the consciousness of the community living there, planes came  from the sky and embodied an unknown power.

Diploma project at the New Media Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Created in the Studio of 3D and Virtual Occurrences II, in collaboration with Jakub Wróblewski, Andrei Isakov and Przemysław Danowski.
